Enjoy an early Valentine’s day treat by joining British concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith for a candlelight and champagne evening of romantic piano music. Born in near-by Earith, it is appropriate that Warren has chosen Ely Cathedral for the concert, which promises to be a sensational affair, inclduing the work of Chopin, Greig and Prokoviev. The concert takes place on Saturday, February 11, and tickets are £10 or £18. To book call 01353 660349.

Twilight at the Museums sees several museums in the Cambridge area opening their doors for adventures at dusk. At Denny Abbey and Farmland Museum, they will be marking the event with a puppet parade. Visitors can make puppets – funny, scary, or just plain strange – and then join in the shadow puppet performance. Then, if they dare, go into the old abbey to hear a Twilight Ghost Story. The parade is held on Wednesday, February 15, and runs from 4.30pm-7.30pm. For those who miss the fun, the parade will be repeated the following day, running from noon-2pm.
