CAMBRIDGE United will host Guisley AFC in the third round of the FA Trophy.

Today’s draw pitted the U’s against the Blue Square Bet North side, who beat Stalybridge Celtic 2-0 on Saturday to progress to the third round. The Tigers squad includes ex-U’s goalkeeper Steve Drench, along with Ciaran Toner and Simon Ainge, who both had loan spells at the R Costings Abbey Stadium.

The tie will be played on Saturday, February 4, meaning United’s trip to Lincoln City in the Blue Square Bet Premier will have to be rescheduled. Jez George’s men booked their place in round three by defeating AFC Telford 4-1 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, United’s final match of the season, at Tamworth on Saturday, April 28, will now kick off at 1pm. Premier Sports TV have requested that all kick off times in the division be brought forward to allow for live coverage.
