Emergency medical charity Magpas fears it could close in the new year - unless people step forward to help.
The Cambridgeshire charity launched its new One in a Million campaign earlier this month to raise funds to keep the Magpas Helimedix teams flying, but warns that unless people donate soon it may have to cut its services.
The campaign urges people in the region to donate £1 each to raise £1 million.
Cambridge MP Julian Huppert and accident survivor Eddie Norman, from Harlton, teamed up to boost the appeal.
Dr Huppert said: “These services are vital. I know how important Magpas is.”
Car crash survivor Mr Norman said: “It’s a really important charity and I hope people will do what they can to support it.”
Antonia Brickell, spokeswoman for Magpas, said: “Not only do the Helimedix team provide specialist care at the scene, it continues caring for patients once they reach hospital.
“It’s about bringing A & E services to the scene of the accident, it’s not just about transporting them to the hospital.
“We want to keep helping people like Eddie, but to do that we really need people to step forward and help us.”
