A BEER festival is underway in Cambridge to celebrate a family-run pub’s 30th birthday.

A total of 42 real ales are on offer - many of which are local - at the Maypole in Park Street as part of the vibrant pub’s beer festival which runs until 11.30pm Saturday.

The festival celebrates 30 years since the Castiglione family took over the city pub which is now run by dad Mario Castiglione and his son Vincent.
