Innovative Cambridge life science companies are invited to share their thoughts and experiences about research within the NHS at a One Nucleus workshop next month.
It will be led by Greer Deal, director of Global Regulatory Services, who will provide examples and case studies to demonstrate how the private sector can work successfully with the public sector.
“It is important to recognise that the UK Government is keen to promote research and innovation and the use of research evidence – the expertise which we have in abundance in our Cambridge biomedical cluster,” said Mrs Greer.
The workshop, called The NHS – Virgin Territory?, is one of the highlights at the One Nucleus Bench-to-Boardroom 2012 event being held at the Rowley Mile Racecourse in Newmarket on Tuesday, March 6.
One Nucleus, based at Granta Park, Great Abington, is a membership organisation for international life science and healthcare companies.
“Many of the best ideas and businesses have been conceived as a result of a chance meeting over a coffee or a pint of beer,” said Mrs Greer. “Bench-to-Boardroom is an extension of the coffee shop and the pub.
“The mix of exhibition, workshops, one-to-one meetings and relaxed atmosphere encourages debate, exchange of knowledge and problem solving.”
