An alumnus from Cambridge Judge Business School has been awarded the annual Lombard Prize – a prestigious accolade awarded to finance students for their work relating to the industry.
Peter Rawlings, from the master of finance (MFin) class of 2010, was chosen from a selection of students from universities and business schools across the country.
He impressed the judges with his paper on hedge funds and how lessons learnt during the recent financial crisis have affected the industry.
“I am honoured to have won such a prestigious award within the financial services industry,” said Mr Rawlings, who is now a director at BNP Paribas London.
Simon Taylor, director of the MFin programme at Cambridge Judge Business School, said: “I’m delighted that in the first year that a Cambridge University MFin student has competed for the Lombard Prize we have been successful.
“Peter Rawlings is a great example of the sort of student we’re trying to attract to Cambridge Judge Business School – academically very able and with interesting work experience that others can learn from. I congratulate Peter on his achievement.”
