Fitness instructor Danielle Parmenter has been named Business Mum of the Year in the first Cambridge Business Mums Awards.
The founder of Escential Fitness has been running exercise classes in and around Cambridge for more than 12 years.
She was presented with her trophy during the second Cambridge Business Mums Conference at Newmarket Racecourse at the weekend.
Around 50 delegates heard inspirational speakers and took part in interactive workshops to help them maximise their businesses. Local firms exhibited at the event – showcasing their products as well as providing help and advice.
“I am absolutely delighted that we could bring so many women together for a day that was packed with fun, laughter and networking,” said Cambridge Business Mums founder Alison Pinney.
“It’s not every day that you get an opportunity to attend an event such as this and I know many new friendships have been formed as a result. We are very much looking forward to the coming year.”
