East of England MEP Robert Sturdy is hosting a trade conference at the University of Cambridge next month.
Aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the event is designed to help them break through the red tape, understand trade opportunities and developments at the European Union (EU) level – and take their business to the world.
Speakers include Mark Prisk, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise, Dr Syed Kamall, a member of the European Parliament’s international trade committee, and Liz Basing from UK Trade and Investment.
“I am often contacted by small and medium-sized businesses in my constituency who seek advice on the best way to take advantage of trade developments at the EU and global level,” said Mr Sturdy.
“Although they have the desire and drive to succeed, they often lack the resources and expertise that are available to larger companies.
“The Going Global conference offers trade advice and information as well as the opportunity to interact directly with experts from the UK and the Continent.”
