Cambridgeshire communications consultant Geoff Dodgson has been awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Agricultural Societies in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the agricultural industry.
Mr Dodgson is a senior consultant at advertising and design agency Ware Anthony Rust, based at Capital Park, Fulbourn.
He was presented with the award at the House of Lords by Baroness Hazel Byford of Rothley, a former farmer and opposition spokesman for farming and rural affairs.
“Agriculture has always been a very important part of my life and it is a great honour to receive such a prestigious award,” said Mr Dodgson.
The selection was made by the Council for Awards of Royal Agricultural Societies, which recognises outstanding efforts in all aspects of practical farming, including research, economics, commercial and administration.
Mr Dodgson has more than 35 years’ experience in agriculture as a journalist and strategic adviser, as well as being a board member at the East of England Agricultural Society.
At Ware Anthony Rust, he works closely with agricultural clients such as AIC, the Crop Protection Association and Growhow.
